ABOUT PILCHUCK SEPTIC DESIGNS

Hello! My name is Bruce Straughn.  I have over 30 years of experience in onsite wastewater treatment and disposal, preparing me with the knowledge needed for every septic system design challenge.  I am licensed to design septic systems throughout Washington State and am willing to travel to your site to assist you with your design and permitting needs.

The name "Pilchuck" comes from the local Native American language and translates to "red water".  It has been used geographically as the name of creeks, a river, a very distinctive mountain (which my wife possessively refers to as "my mountain"), a small town that no longer exists and most notably for the purposes of this business endeavor, a specific type of well drained sandy soil.
